Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) released their Co-Owned and Trust Disclosure By-Law to modernize and enhance Canada's deposit insurance framework. This expanded coverage across FX, terms greater than 5 years, and eliminated coverage for traveler's cheques. New requirements were introduced including amendments to contracts with nominee broker, annual attestations, and unique client identifier of the beneficiary.
